Pele Island is located 7km north from Vanuatu’s main island Efate and takes just 20 minutes by motorised boat. Boats leave the Emua Jetty which is a 50 minute bus ride from the capital Port Vila. We can arrange bus transport to the Jetty from the airport or your hotel.

What to expect – location

Pristine coral reefs, fantastic snorkelling & swimming in clear,blue waters, beautiful white sandy beaches, amazingly friendly locals, opportunities to learn about tradition village culture and traditions and last, but not least, fantastic food prepared for you by Chef Mark Shong and using locally grown, organic produce.

When snorkelling, you will see giant clams, abundant sea-life including green and hawksbill turtles, spotted eagle rays and if you are lucky enough to venture out in one of our boats, you may also see dolphins, dugongs and white tip reef sharks.

What to expect – accommodation

There is no electricity on the island so there are no lights or electronic devices in the bungalows. Bring your torch and have your mobile phone fully charged before you come – or better still, turn it off and experience a few days free of technology and interruptions!
